 POLAROID

LAKURIQ

It was again winter, cold and sometimes (but not like last year) without electricity, water and baths with no bubbles in our gRey city without a river. Despite that, this wasn’t a weird dream for us or a source of depression for our music. It seems that the situation which was suffocating during the album ‘Polaroid’, wasn’t leaving any bad impressions on us any more.  Did we bEcome immune from this constant source of depression? We understood that the lack of those perhaps basic things, was not fit enough for us to achieve the sensitivity threshold of our creativity.

However, it looks like the endless inspiration that Prishtina gives us is simply inevitable for incorporation into our music. Even during the lowest temperatures that reach deep into the marrow. We were in love with Prish
Tina more than ever.

‘The girl from Tirana’ was also a co-passenger in our trip, therefore it was also imposable to avoid the inspiration with sweet Tirana colours. This album is a virgin symbiosis of P
Rishtina and Tirana. At last….

We know perfectly well that it d
Oesn’t deserve it, but this time we are going to dedicate more than one paragraph to the music of mass consumption which is freely permeable to clandestine sounds ranging from the most scary ones known by nature. We’d just like to point out that these ‘boat imported sounds’, mainly pseud-oriental in their nature, continue to preoccupy and worry us. However, these retarded whispers that some call turbo-folk, but which are capable of digging black holes in the brain, continue to strengthen our ideal of producing non-commercial music, which comes out of us sincerely, naked – LAKURIQ.

As we promised after finishing our first album ‘Polaroid’, during the winter of 2004 RetroVizorja produced its second album ‘Lakuriq’. The work for this album started based on the abovementioned ideal. Our institutions were again indifferent and as a result we were forced to encourage ourselves to see the "Scottish dragon" again, which made as decide to publish several more songs for the sake of our fans.

There were two air-travelling dev
Ice types of trips this time.  One of them was again abnormally long and exhausting while the other one was luckily quite short. Next time maybe there will be no need for these trips and instead we will save that energy for live concerts for you.

In “Lakuriq”, Retrovi
Zorja has shrunk by one of its first members but on the other hand it has been enriched by our special guest Elina Duni who left outstanding impressions on us in every aspect. This album is characterised by a higher dose of our positive energy, which we hope will reflect to you too.

We thank all those who had the courage and nerves t
O support us during this whole time but most of all we thank our fans.

We would also like to thank
Zana Shehu, DoR
ian Ahmeti, Ergin Kuke, Valon Jusufi, Penar MusaraJ, Fani Kuke and Justin, for their support and whom we forgot to personally thank in our album cover due to the usual idiotic procedures involved during the ‘plastification’ of the Album.
